In addition, as a Y member, you have access to a Fit Connect, a free consultation with a certified personal trainer to help assess your needs, discuss your fitness goals, and orient you to the facility.

Our Fitness Centers have state of the art cardio and strength equipment lines.
- Church St Y has over 10,000 sq. feet of wellness space with functional training and all new cardio equipment, free weights, strength machines, dedicated functional training rooms, group exercise studios, Octagon fitness rig, and indoor and outdoor track.
- Indoor Track: Inside lane is 17.5 laps/mile. Outside lane is 16.5 laps/mile.
- Outdoor Track: Inside lane is 6.4 laps/mile. Outside lane is 5.9 laps/mile.
- Wells Ave Y has state of the art functional training and cardio equipment, free weight and strength machines, including Octagon fitness rig. Dedicated spin room, group exercise studios, and upper-level cardio deck with one-lane track are also offered.
- One-Lane Indoor Track: 17.5 laps/mile.
Free Fit Connect
Fit Connects are offered for free to all Y members! During your Fit Connect, a Y trainer will show you and teach you how to use the cardio and weight equipment. Set up your free Fit Connect by emailing our Fitness Directors, below. Appointments are required.
Youth & Teens in Fitness Center
Fitness Centers are open to members ages 10+. Members under 10 years old are not permitted in the Fitness Center and youth 10-11 years old must stay in the presence of an adult guardian or parent. Members under the age of 14 are required to complete a free Fit Connect session before using the Fitness Center.

Fitness Center Guidelines
- Please consult with your primary physician prior to beginning any exercise.
- Please wear appropriate workout attire. Keep shirts on.
- Please wear appropriate workout shoes in fitness center at all times (boots, crocks and open-toed footwear are not allowed). Lifting in socks or bare feet is not permitted.
- Please limit yourself to 30 minutes on cardio machines, bench press, and squat racks at peak hours. Please talk on cell phones in permitted areas only, not in the Fitness Center.
Please:
- Wipe down benches and equipment after use.
- No slamming or dropping weights.
- Return all equipment to its proper location.
- No basketballs in the fitness center.
- Keep personal items locked in a locker, never leave personal items unattended.
- Allow others to “work in” between sets, do not rest on exercise equipment.
- Avoid the use of dry chalk. Liquid chalk is permitted.
- Ask our Fitness Staff for assistance with any piece of equipment you are unsure how to use properly.
- Use a closed container for water and eat food in permitted areas only.
- Utilize one of our Personal Trainers - outside trainers are not allowed.
- Maximum of 3 people to a machine.
