School's out, fun is in! Kids can spend their days at either of the West Suburban YMCA locations when Newton Public Schools are off - whether for an observed holiday, school vacation breaks, or snow days! We offer 2 options for school vacation programs: A traditional mix of fun activities run by our Out of School Time staff and an action-packed, sports-centric program run by the Y's Sports Department.

Out of School Time (OST) Vacation Program
Program Hours: 7:45 am - 5:00 pm
Overview
Structured similarly to a day at camp, the OST vacation program at the Church St Y offers a mix of activities such as fun games, physical activity, and creative projects to keep kids active and happy all day. You do not need to be enrolled in our Out-of-School Time afterschool program to register for vacation programs.
Available for kids in grades K-8. Children should arrive with a nonperishable nut-free snack and lunch.

WSYMCA Members: $360
Non-Members: $400
Rates include 4 full days (Tuesday-Friday)
Sports Vacation Program
Program Hours: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Overview
Our Sports Department offers sports programs for ages 6-12 during school vacation weeks and some school holidays. Each day, children will play different sports and games in an active, fun, and supportive environment. Activities include soccer, basketball, baseball, floor hockey, flag football, lacrosse, golf, tennis, capture the flag, doctor dodge, battleship, tennis baseball and more!
Children should arrive with a nonperishable nut-free snack, lunch, and appropriate gym clothing.

Snow Days/School Closures
Program Overview
When school is closed, drop your kids off at the Y for our snow day program! Please check wsymca.org on school snow days to see if we are running a Snow Day program. Registration requirements fulfilled at drop-off.
