It's time to look ahead and start planning your child's summer adventures! The West Suburban YMCA offers four amazing camps with a variety of programs that cater to every child’s interests. Not only do our camps provide fun and exciting activities, but they also focus on youth development, ensuring that each camper leaves with newfound confidence, friendships, and memories to last a lifetime. Exciting news: Camp Chickami was named one of America’s Top 55 Summer Camps in 2024 by Newsweek—so don’t miss your chance to join the fun in 2025! 

Here are the important registration dates for each of our camps: 

  • October 10: Overnight Camp Registration Opens at 10 AM
  • October 10: Family Camp Weekend Registration Opens 
  • December 3: Day Camp Early Registration for Returning Families at 10 AM (limited spots available) 
  • December 10: Day Camp Open Registration Begins at 10 AM

Camp Frank A. Day (Overnight Camp) 

Located on the beautiful Quacumquasit Pond in East Brookfield, MA, Camp Frank A. Day (CFAD) offers a traditional overnight camp experience. Campers enjoy activities like kayaking, arts and crafts, and yoga while building character and self-reliance. CFAD, founded in 1916, is steeped in tradition, with rustic cabins, bugle calls, and a rich community of alumni, campers, and counselors. This is the camp where lifelong friendships are made, and unforgettable summers are spent! 

Camp Pikati (Day Camp) 

Situated at the West Suburban YMCA’s Church St. location, Camp Pikati provides a fun and engaging day camp experience. Campers can dive into swimming, sports, arts and crafts, and even go on weekly field trips (for ages 7+). The extensive Church St. facility allows for a wide variety of activities, making it the perfect place for campers to explore their interests while being guided by caring and enthusiastic counselors. 

Camp Wells (Day Camp) 

Located at the YMCA’s Wells Ave facility, Camp Wells offers exciting day camp activities such as sports, archery, hiking, and arts and crafts. Campers enjoy exclusive access to a gaga ball pit, water slide, archery range, full field, and scenic hiking trails. Older campers (ages 7+) have the chance to go on weekly field trips. The highly trained staff at Camp Wells ensure that every child has a summer full of fun, learning, and growth. 

Camp Chickami (Day Camp)

Founded in 1955, Camp Chickami is a traditional day camp located on a beautiful, wooded property bordering conservation land. Campers are inspired with countless opportunities to laugh, lead, and make lasting friendships. Our programs and counselors deliver meaningful and memorable camp experiences that keep families coming back year after year after year. Camp Chickami has been ranked one of America's top 55 summer camps in 2024!

Leaders in Training (LIT) Programs 

For campers looking to transition into leadership roles, our Leaders in Training (LIT) programs offer a unique opportunity to build practical and leadership skills. Whether at our day camps (for grades 7-9) or overnight camp (for ages 16-17), LITs engage in hands-on activities that teach responsibility and guide them toward becoming future camp counselors and leaders in their communities. 

WSYMCA Family Camp Weekend at Camp Frank A. Day

Looking for a family adventure? WSYMCA Family Camp at Camp Frank A. Day is more than just a weekend getaway—it’s an opportunity to reconnect with loved ones, meet new friends, and immerse yourselves in nature. Spend three nights on our beautiful 65-acre camp on the shores of Quacumquasit Pond in East Brookfield, MA. 

Kick off the weekend with an opening campfire and s'mores, then gear up for a weekend packed with activities like arts and crafts, archery, swimming, canoeing, and more. Participate as much or as little as you'd like—it’s all about enjoying camp at your own pace. Every evening, we’ll come together for fun, all-camp events like talent shows, Capture the Flag, and Minute-to-Win-It games. End each night around the campfire, gazing at the stars. YMCA Family Camp is the perfect way to create lasting family memories in a relaxing, nature-filled environment.
