Today our Active Older Adults community came together at the Church Street Y to celebrate the season of love with a Valentine’s Day party filled with laughter, music, food, and heartfelt connections. Over 40 people gathered to enjoy an afternoon of fun, and it was clear that the true spirit of the holiday—cherishing friendship and community—was alive and well. View pictures on our Facebook post.

The party was a vibrant mix of activities that kept everyone engaged and smiling. The music set the tone with classic tunes, creating a joyful atmosphere where everyone could relax, chat, and enjoy each other’s company. No Valentine’s celebration would be complete without delicious treats, and this party didn’t disappoint! Guests were treated to a variety of sweets and bagels. There were cookies, candies, fruit and plenty of cupcakes decorated with festive Valentine’s Day designs. There was something that everyone could enjoy while chatting and laughing.

But beyond the treats and music, it was the sense of community that truly made this event special. Watching everyone share stories, make new friends, and celebrate the season together was a reminder of how important it is to build connections and create memories. The Valentine’s party was more than just a celebration of love—it was a celebration of all the wonderful friendships that have blossomed within our Active Older Adults community.

Thank you to everyone who attended and made the event so memorable! We look forward to more events like this, where we can continue to come together, share good times, and celebrate the amazing bonds we’ve built at the Y.
