Your life is packed. So is your child’s. School, activities, screens—it’s nonstop.

Overnight camp hits pause. It gives your child room to grow, unplug, and just be a kid again.

At camp, they gain confidence. Independence. New skills. Real friendships. They try things they’ve never done before—and come home stronger, happier, and more self-assured.

Whether it's their first overnight experience or a return to a summer favorite, this is growth you’ll notice.

Why Choose Overnight Camp?

Overnight camp isn’t just fun—it’s transformational.

Your child makes choices without you. They build friendships face-to-face. They try archery, drama, climbing, kayaking—things they won’t get from school or screens.

Every moment builds confidence, courage, and curiosity.

What Your Child Gets from Camp:

  • Confidence and independence living away from home.
  • Social skills by making friends and being part of a group.
  • A deep connection to nature—no devices, just lake, woods, and sky.
  • New skills in swimming, kayaking, arts, climbing, sports, leadership, and more.

And here’s what you gain: the joy of seeing them come back stronger, braver, and happier.

Hear it From Other Parents

"My daughter returns from camp each summer more independent and connected to the camp community.”

There is so much variety, my daughter had a great time doing different things and loved all the events.

Our child came back more tolerant of her peers and loved the sense of community.

How to Get Your Child Ready for an Overnight Camp

You can help them feel confident and excited.

  • Talk it up. Focus on the fun stuff: s'mores, swimming, new friends.
  • Pack together. Use our Camp Frank A. Day checklist so your child feels in control.
  • Address nerves. Homesickness is normal. Tell them it’s OK to miss home and still love camp. Our counselors are trained to help.
