Your Gift in Action
Healthy Living
Healthy living extends beyond physical exercise. The Y is uniquely poised as an intergenerational community hub to nurture relationships and reduce isolation. Financial aid ensures that our doors stay open to families and individuals of all ages and economic backgrounds, providing access to the opportunity to foster healthy habits that endure across the lifespan. You make this possible.
Youth Development
1-in-4 Newton youth interacted with the West Suburban YMCA in 2023. At the Y and our camps, kids and teens practice leadership skills, build self-confidence, and learn new skills. They find a safe space to be themselves, connecting with peers and positive adult role models. Your generosity not only ensured access to all, it helped equip staff to respond to children’s developmental needs with care and sensitivity.
Social Responsibility
As one of our community’s oldest institutions, the Y is prepared to respond to pressing needs, whether that is housing for those seeking stability; Livestrong at the YMCA to help cancer survivors build strength in body, mind, and spirit; or adaptive swim and sports help children of all abilities grow and thrive. With you, we provided more financial aid than ever before - $619,000 across all our programs and membership – so that everyone can find meaning at the Y.
