Freeze a membership
Members may freeze a membership for up to four months per calendar year. Freeze requests can be submitted online, and requests are processed within seven business days. During the freeze period, membership access is temporarily paused and monthly billing is adjusted according to YMCA policy. Learn more, here.
Become a sustaining member
Members who do not plan to use the YMCA for an extended period may convert their membership into a sustaining membership donation. This allows continued support of YMCA programs and community services while pausing active membership benefits. When the member is ready to return, the YMCA can restore the original membership benefits. Learn more, here.
Cancel a membership
Members who no longer plan to return may cancel their membership at any time. Cancellation requests must be received before the next billing cycle to avoid additional charges. Learn more, here.
Support the YMCA mission
Members who change their membership status may also choose to make a one-time or recurring donation. Charitable gifts help the West Suburban YMCA provide financial assistance, expand community programs, and serve individuals and families in need.
