Thank You for Helping Us Reach Our $30,000 All In, Together Spring Giving Campaign Goal

Thank you to everyone who donated, dribbled, danced, and dinked to benefit our All In, Together Spring Giving Campaign. Thanks to your generosity, we exceed our goal and raised $33,609! These funds will now allow 270 families to access the resources they need, without having to worry about the cost.

We are grateful to the more than 400 households who participated in the Spring Giving Campaign. Whether you visited with our staff and youth in the lobbies of our branches, donated online, supported a YBA team’s fundraising goal, or attended an event, you helped advance healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility throughout our community.

All In, Together

The All In, Together Spring Giving Campaign was a dedicated period at the West Suburban YMCA focused on supporting our mission: strengthening our community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility for all. Our goal was to raise $30,000 in ten days, and with your help, we did just that.

Every donation made a difference. Your support helps families access affordable childcare, providing scholarships for youth enrichment activities, welcoming members of all financial backgrounds, supporting cancer survivors through our LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program, and so much more.

The Y is special because social responsibility is at the core of our mission. Tax-deductible charitable donations stay local, ensuring that we can offer financial assistance and innovative programs that make our community accessible to all.

Recapping the Fun at Our Campaign Events

Community Conversations: At the heart of the Spring Campaign was the opportunity for members and program participants to learn about the positive impact the Y makes in the community, and how each individual can play a role in supporting local families. We were honored to have these conversations throughout our branches- on the courts, at the pool, on the fitness floor, in our classrooms, and in the lobbies. Staff from every department, and even some of our Out-of-School Time and Preschool students, had the chance to talk about the important ways our Y fulfills our mission of social responsibility for all through financial aid, Livestrong at the YMCA, and other core programs. Many thanks to everyone who took the time to stop by for a chat!

Coach Rico's Community Clinic at the Church St Y on March 19 kept the kids active while giving back. More than 30 youth ages 8-16 participated as Coach Rico led them through basketball fundamentals including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense. These important sills help build confidence on the court. The night ended with a fun scrimmage and pizza for all participants! View event post, here.

Dance for a Cause was a high energy mega group class that benefited Livestrong at the YMCA. Over 40 dancers moved, grooved, and made a difference during a fun glow-party themed spring break celebration. From themed costumes to energetic routines and uplifting camaraderie, the event was a powerful reminder of how movement strengthens our bodies and our community. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, donated, danced, or helped spread the word. Together, we made an impact far beyond the dance floor. View the Facebook Album, here.

Our After-Hours Pickleball Social at Wells Ave Y brought “picklers” together in support of the Y's Annual Fund. The evening was full of lively games, a potluck, raffles, prizes, and pals. Supporting your community is as fun and rewarding as a game of pickleball! View pictures, here.

YBA Team Fundraising: Our 40 YBA teams worked together to ensure that all kids can have access to the skill building, team bonding, and fun that comes along with sports programs at the Y. It was inspiring to see families come together for the cause, raising nearly $2,500 as a YBA community. We’ll celebrate the top fundraising team- the Lynx- with a pizza party!
