New Year Pickleball Party a Smash Hit at the Y!

The Wells Ave Y served up fun and community spirit on Friday, January 3rd, with its New Year Pickleball Party. Over 70 pickleball enthusiasts joined the after-hours event, making it a memorable evening to kick off the new year. 

Players of all skill levels participated in a spirited round-robin tournament, with friendly rivalries and plenty of cheering throughout the night. While everyone brought their A-game, the biggest winners were the YMCA’s financial aid programs. Thanks to the generosity of attendees, the event’s raffle raised over $250 for the Y’s Annual Fund, which provides crucial support for children and families in need. 

The atmosphere was as lively as the games, with guests enjoying pizza and a variety of appetizers, side dishes, and desserts brought by participants. The combination of great food, engaging play, and a shared commitment to community made for a fantastic evening.
