What a Night! Recapping the WSYMCA Winter Carnival
If you were at the Wells Ave Y this past Friday, you know exactly what we’re talking about. The 2026 Winter Carnival was huge!
While it was freezing outside on February 27th, things were heating up inside our Field House gymnasium. We love holding this event to bring the community together for some much-needed active winter fun.
From the moment doors opened at 5:30 PM, families streamed in, filling the space with hundreds of smiling faces. We loved seeing young children hitting the moonwalks and teens showing off their skills in various games and on the court. It was a full-blown carnival right in the heart of the WSYMCA.
The highlights: What made it special
- Sweet treats, let’s be honest, nothing beats the smell of fresh popcorn and cotton candy. We handed out the bags until they were gone!
- Non-stop action, the inflatable games and moonwalks were basically “kid magnets”. We lost count of how many times the games were conquered.
- The big winners, our carnival booths were buzzing with everyone testing their luck. Whether you won a prize or just had a laugh, the vibes were 10 out of 10.
The best part of the night was seeing neighbors catch up and families making memories. That’s what the WSYMCA is all about. This was a free event open to everyone, and seeing the community fill the Wells Ave Field House reminded us why we love what we do.
