What a perfect day for fall fun! The West Suburban YMCA’s Annual Fall Festival, held October 4, brought the community together for an afternoon filled with laughter, activities, and plenty of autumn cheer. Families enjoyed the sunny weather while kids danced to a high-energy, kid-friendly DJ, tested their skills in a limbo contest, and showed off their moves on the basketball hoop shots and gaga ball courts.

The large inflatable obstacle course was a big hit, and the petting zoo had kids smiling from ear to ear. Guests were amazed by a live magic show and excited to meet Officer Leo, the Newton Police K9, who made a special appearance. Creativity was everywhere, too—with face painting, balloon animals, henna-style temporary tattoos, and free pumpkins that kids could decorate themselves.

Of course, no festival would be complete without tasty treats! Families enjoyed free freshly popped popcorn and apple snacks, and every child went home with a free trick-or-treat bag.

The Fall Festival is a cherished WSYMCA tradition that reflects our mission: The West Suburban YMCA, a charitable non-profit organization, strengthens the foundations of our community by supporting youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility for all. Events like this bring our community together, create lasting memories, and celebrate the joy of being active and engaged.

We can’t wait to see everyone again next year!
