The West Suburban YMCA is proud to announce that two of our beloved camps, Camp Frank A. Day and Camp Chickami, have been recognized with 2025 Boston Camperoni Awards, celebrating excellence in summer camp experiences across the Greater Boston area.

🏕️ Camp Frank A. Day: Best for Shy Kids

Camp Frank A. Day, our overnight camp on Lake Quacumquasit in East Brookfield, earned the title of Best for Shy Kids. This award recognizes CFAD’s commitment to creating an environment where every camper feels welcomed, encouraged, and empowered to shine. Whether it’s through small-group activities, supportive counselors, or the friendships formed around the campfire, CFAD provides a place where confidence blossoms and every child belongs.

đź’š Camp Chickami: Best Value for the Money

Our day camp in Wayland, Camp Chickami, was named Best Value for the Money. This recognition reflects the meaningful experiences, personal growth, and lifelong friendships campers gain throughout the summer. With a focus on inclusion, play, and character development, Chickami continues to deliver exceptional programming at an accessible cost for families.

Both awards highlight what makes YMCA camping so special: our people. From the dedicated camp directors and counselors to the behind-the-scenes staff and volunteers, each person plays a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and joy-filled experience for every camper.

“These awards affirm what we see every day at camp,” Jack Fucci, President & CEO of the West Suburban YMCA. “Our camps are places where kids discover their confidence, build friendships, and experience the magic of belonging. We’re incredibly proud of our teams at Camp Frank A. Day and Camp Chickami for the impact they make on young lives year after year.”
